Region 9 TD Sally S. Chionsini Retires

Sally retired her “R” technical delegate on December 1, 2011. She was in the first group to be certified to measure ponies. Sally Also graduated with distinction from the USDF “L” program in 1998.

She represented Region 9 as a TD Council member for seven years, served as USDF TD Council chair for two years and was a participating member delegate to USDF conventions several times.

In 2008 she was honored as Region 9 Horse Person of the Year and in 2009 earned the Century Award on her horse, Bert. Sally has earned the FEI Master’s Challenge Award as well as the Bronze and Silver Medals.

Her horse Castus was the Grand Prix Regional Champion in 2006.

Her equestrian background includes passing British Horse Society Grade Levels I and II tests, service on the board of the Civil Service Riding Club in London and management of Region 8 licensed and schooling shows.

Sally and her husband of 56 years have two daughters, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two more great grandchildren are expected in 2012.

At this time, Sally devotes much of her time to managing her barn and a small business.
